January.

Cold frosty mornings and bright blue sky. Contrasted with damp gloomy days when the fog silently and slowly twists around the bare branches of the winter trees.

Fog and winter trees.

In the fog.

I continued learning and enjoying video editing this month. Film making is definitely something I enjoy immensely. I upgraded to the music site Soundstripe to give myself more choice of tracks. I become very absorbed listening to music. Of course I usually end up choosing the very first track I listened to a few hours back!

Above is a short spooky film taken amongst the trees in the fog. I hope you like the atmospheric track choice as much as I do. Let me know what you think.

Most of the still photos are taken with the iPhone and edited with dramatic cool tones filter. I like how the fog and the desaturated colour give the photos a vintage old film feel.

I think these photos will will eventually be used to create hot encaustic wax pieces. The wax should add an even more atmospheric feel to them.
