Heritage and Restoration

One of the first heritage restoration projects to capture my imagination was Victoria Baths in Manchester. I first visited one of the swimming pools from Primary school. We travelled from the suburbs by coach and the best bit was the return journey when we ate cheese butties and drank orange squash from a leaky Tupperware cup! Back then, to a 7 year old child, the 6 foot end seemed as deep as the deepest ocean!
