Urban Photography

My favourite place to take photos in Manchester is down by the canals at Castlefield. Amongst the grime, brickwork, metal and water there’s a real sense of industrial history down there. The surrounding areas are constantly changing as regeneration continues. I often process my urban photos in high contrast black and white to emphasise the texture and grime of the city. You may sometimes spot a lone figures. Solitude exists in the midst of a city.
